On our final day in Pokhara, each team managed to stay productive. Read below to see how each team closed off their time at the hospital!

Prosthetics Team

Today was relaxing yet productive. We started the day with breakfast and slowly walked to the craft store to finish up picking gifts for friends and family back home. Then we spent the rest of the morning working on the technical drawings for both the standing frame and adjustable table. Lunch was enjoyed with the whole group, and many a Slice was drank. Slice is a mango fruit juice that seems to only exist here. Walking back from lunch, the mountains barely peaked out but refused to show themselves completely until dinner. Propping the windows open to gain a breeze, it was back to work straight up until dinner. The drawings are almost complete, which we can quickly finish up in Kathmandu and email back to Meghan, the Occupational Therapist. It's been a wonderful and effective time here in Pokhara, and we'll miss it greatly. Kathmandu, here we come!

Electrical Team

Today, we finished up our part of the test system for the 48V hybrid controller. Basically we mounted the system to a board and labeled it for ease of use. All that will need to happen to put it in use is plug in an inverter, connect batteries and connect the solar power. Hopefully they will be able to test it sometime soon because it could definitely help save money on power. It was not too difficult of work, but took a bit since we had to make sure that everything was correct and redo a few things. TJ also drew up a cleaner block diagram to show how the whole system is connected. Overall I feel like we learned a lot and hope that what we did will end up being helpful in the long run.

Wheelchair Team

Today the Nepal Wheelchair Team went to the industrial area of Pokhara to talk to some metalworkers about outsourcing some of the work required for the project. We also spent some time with Dhan and Raywanta to close out our time here at INF Green Pastures Hospital. We are so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with such wonderful people! (unfortunately, Meghan was out of town so she could not make the photo). This trip would have been impossible if it were not for the amazing people we have to work with. Go Team!

Today we saw three UNESCO World Hertage Sites. They date to the fifth century, so some old sites. This was our last full day in Nepal...
