Since the Nepali Sabbath is on Saturday, today was the beginning of the work week for most of the hospital, including the Wheelchair and Prosthetic & Orthotics workshops. After visiting a local grocery store, we got a tour of the workshop. We were able to see and hear the whole process they go through to receive a prosthesis, orthosis, or wheelchair. After the tour, the wheelchair team was able to get some work done by looking at and testing out different wheelchairs that the hospital currently has available for their clients. After working in the morning, we ate lunch at a restaurant right across the street from INF and headed towards the World Peace Stupa overlooking the lake, city of Pokhara, and Himalayas in the background. It was an unbelievable view, and although we took a taxi up to the Stupa, we hiked down and took a small row boat back to Lakeside. We finished the day with another delicious Dal Bhat meal, and are ready for a full day of work tomorrow!
